TERMS OF REFERENCE – PROJECT AND COMMUNICATION ASSISTANT (M/F) - In-SITU & HERITAS Projects

Interreg NEXT Italy–Tunisia Programme 2021–2027

1. Purpose of the selection

As part of the implementation of the In-SITU and HERITAS cross-border projects, co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT Italy–Tunisia Programme 2021–2027, ANIMED SARL plans to recruit a Project & Communication Assistant.

 

The In-SITU project, coordinated by the University of Palermo – Agrigento Territorial University Campus, aims to promote inclusive tourism enhancement of urban and peri-urban heritage, drawing in particular on art, community participation and local development.

 

The HERITAS project, coordinated by CESIE ETS, aims to enhance tangible and intangible cultural heritage through participatory approaches and the creation of sustainable community-based tourism routes.

 

As the Tunisian partner of both projects, ANIMED SARL wishes to recruit a Project & Communication Assistant responsible for supporting the operational coordination, technical monitoring and communication of the activities implemented under the two projects.

 

The position will help facilitate coordination between the ANIMED team, partners, experts and service providers, while ensuring the visibility of both projects, the documentation of their activities and the capitalisation of their results.

 

2. Main duties

Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, the recruited person will have the following responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, organization and operational monitoring of project activities: workshops, training sessions, meetings, missions, visits and events;
  • Update the project work plans, schedules, dashboards, indicators, contact lists and monitoring tools;
  • Prepare meetings, draft agendas and minutes, and follow up on decisions and deadlines;
  • Facilitate the flow of information with ANIMED partners and service providers;
  • Support the preparation of terms of reference, notes, correspondence, contracts and administrative documents related to activities and service providers, in coordination with the relevant managers;
  • Collect, verify and consolidate the technical and communication data required for periodic reports submitted to the Lead Partner and the Programme;
  • Contribute to documenting activities and capitalizing on results and good practices;
  • Draft and adapt content for the website, social media, newsletters, press releases, event materials and other visibility tools;
  • Develop an editorial calendar and ensure the collection of texts, photos, testimonials, key figures and authorizations required for content production;
  • Coordinate contributions with graphic, audiovisual or digital service providers, monitor deliverables and verify their compliance with the Programme visibility guidelines;
  • Support the coverage of activities and events, then monitor the publication and archiving of the content and materials produced;
  • Monitor the results of communication activities using simple indicators and propose adjustments to the Project Coordinator.

 

3. Required profile

Required qualifications

  • University degree (bachelor’s or master’s) in tourism, management, marketing, communication or another relevant field;
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the implementation, coordination or communication of international cooperation or local development projects;
  • Good knowledge of cultural heritage and the institutional ecosystem;
  • Good command of project-management tools: monitoring tables, planning, reports and indicators, with willingness to use the platform proposed by the Lead Partner;
  • Knowledge of European funding programmes (ENI CBC, Interreg, Erasmus+, etc.) is desirable;
  • Proficiency in IT and digital tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Trello or equivalent;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken French and English. Proficiency in Italian is an asset.

4. Conditions of participation

The following candidates may participate in the selection:

  • Tunisian nationals or persons legally residing in Tunisia;
  • Persons enjoying their civil and political rights;
  • Persons who have not been subject to any conviction or exclusion from public office.

 

5. Type and duration of the contract

  • Contract type: permanent employment contract, with a probationary period in accordance with the Tunisian legislation in force. The two projects have remaining implementation periods that will be confirmed at the time of recruitment.
  • Working hours: part-time, 30 hours per week, with the possibility of progressing to full-time employment based on other projects managed by ANIMED.
  • Remuneration: 1,875 Tunisian dinars net per month, corresponding to part-time employment of 30 hours per week. In the event of a transition to full-time employment, the remuneration will be adjusted proportionally to the working hours.
  • Duty station: Tunis, at ANIMED’s headquarters, with possible occasional travel to Nabeul or the regions concerned by ANIMED’s projects.

 

6. Selection procedure and criteria

The selection will take place in two stages:

Applicants who obtain more than 75 points out of 100 will be invited to take: 

 

  1. A written practical test aimed at assessing their analytical and synthesis abilities, as well as their writing and organizational skills. Applicants who obtain more than 75 points out of 100 will be invited to attend: 
  2. An individual interview to assess motivation, understanding of the role, interpersonal skills and the ability to handle practical situations related to the position.

Only candidates shortlisted following stage (1) will be contacted to take the written test. 

Only candidates shortlisted following stage (2) will be contacted for the individual interview. 

Only the candidate who obtains the highest score out of 100 points in the individual interview will be selected for the position.
