HERITAS Information Session at ISET Nabeul: Engaging Students in Cultural Heritage and Community Tourism

3 April

As part of the HERITAS project, co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT Italy-Tunisia Programme, ANIMED organised an information session on April 3, 2026, at the Institut Supérieur des Études Technologiques (ISET) de Nabeul, targeting students interested in cultural heritage and community-based tourism.

HERITAS is dedicated to the valorisation of living cultural heritage through participatory citizen-led approaches and the development of community tourism itineraries. As a project partner, ANIMED facilitated this session to raise awareness among young people about the project’s opportunities and encourage their active involvement.

The session provided students with an overview of the project’s objectives and methodology, presented the open call for participation in the “Pionniers du Patrimoine” pathway, and offered a space for questions and direct exchange with the ANIMED team.

This initiative reflects ANIMED’s commitment to engaging youth in the preservation and valorisation of their local cultural heritage, while fostering innovative and inclusive community tourism projects in the Nabeul region.

Project Partners: CESIE ETS (Italy) | Le Vie dei Tesori (Italy) | CAWTAR – Centre de la Femme Arabe pour la Formation et la Recherche (Tunisia) | ANIMED (Tunisia)

Rooted in a cross-border cooperation dynamic founded on sustainability, inclusion, and the valorisation of heritage, the project works toward a shared future between the two shores of the Mediterranean.
