Diem – Workshop 3 – Refining the Design of Cultural Heritage Training Modules
As part of the DIEM – Developing Inclusive Education in the Mediterranean project, co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme, ANIMED organized an in-person workshop on March 26, 2026, at the Faculty of Letters, Arts and Humanities of the University of Manouba, bringing together academics, heritage professionals, institutional representatives, and training experts.
This session gathered key stakeholders from Tunisia’s cultural heritage sector, including the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training, the Agency for the Development of Heritage and Cultural Promotion (AMVPPC), the National Institute of Patrimony (INP), the Office National de l’Artisanat Tunisien (ONA), the University of Manouba, the Higher Institute of Fine Arts of Tunis (ISBAT), and the Higher Institute of Heritage Professions of Tunis (ISMPT), as well as experts and practitioners involved in comparable cultural heritage and training initiatives in Tunisia.
Building on the outcomes of the two previous online workshops, this third session presented the proposed architecture of the DIEM training programme for stakeholder discussion and feedback. A Mentimeter questionnaire was used to collect real-time feedback from participants on training priorities, delivery formats, and content relevance.
This workshop marks the conclusion of ANIMED’s stakeholder consultation phase and directly paves the way for the development of DIEM training modules, which will be practical, inclusive, and tailored to the diverse professional profiles of the cultural heritage sector in Tunisia.
