About Us

Company operating in the Social and Solidarity Economy

Animed is a private company operating in the social and solidarity economy, based in Tunis since 2017 and working in Tunisia with a Mediterranean and regional scope.

Through local and cross-border activities, Animed promotes research and innovation, intercultural dialogue, awareness-raising, continuing training, and education, by adopting innovative approaches and tools in the service of sustainable development.

Our Development Pillars

Pillar I – Sustainable Design: Project Development and Fundraising

Animed supports organizations in developing international cooperation projects through a rigorous methodology, from problem identification to the selection of relevant funding bodies, consortium building and matchmaking with potential partners, preparation of the project proposal, and the development of monitoring tools during implementation.

Pillar II – Animed Living Lab: Heritage and Sustainable Tourism

Animed leverages its national and international scientific network to develop innovative pilot projects centered on cultural and natural heritage and tourism. It experiments with the intersections offered by experiential tourism, creative tourism, and cultural third places to promote sustainable and inclusive tourism, social innovation pathways, youth integration, and civic engagement.

Pillar III – Training and Education

Animed invests in continuing education to support the development of communities and professionals in the fields of culture, heritage, and tourism. It also supports young people by strengthening their capacities, enhancing their environmental and socio-emotional resilience, and fostering their talents toward greater initiative, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

Pillar IV – Network, Partnerships, R&I and R&D

Animed works to engage stakeholders across its sectors of expertise to identify opportunities for international cooperation, alliances, and collective action, both in sustainable development and in scientific research. Its objective is to create a virtuous cycle of international development initiatives rooted in scientific research and reinforced through academic publications building on project results.
