PROJECT & COMMUNICATION ASSISTANT (M/F)
HERITAS Project – Enhancing Cultural Heritage through Participatory Citizen Pathways and the Creation of Community-Based Tourism Routes -- Interreg NEXT Italy–Tunisia Programme 2021–2027
1. Purpose of the Recruitment
As part of the HERITAS project, implemented by a cross-border consortium coordinated by CESIE ETS (Italy), with Animed SARL as the Tunisian partner, the recruitment of a Project & Communication Assistant (Project Assistant Officer) is planned to support the overall, technical, logistical, and administrative coordination of the HERITAS project activities within ANIMED.
This position is essential to ensure the proper implementation and communication of the project, in close coordination with the Project Manager, the Administrative and Financial Manager, as well as Tunisian and Italian experts and partners.
2. Main Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator and in close collaboration with the Administrative and Financial Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing support for technical coordination and logistical organization of project activities (workshops, training sessions, missions, meetings, events, etc.);
Participating in the planning and operational monitoring of activities in coordination with partners and mobilized experts;
- Supporting the Project Coordinator and Technical Coordinator in the preparation of terms of reference, contracts, and administrative documents related to the recruitment of experts, service providers, trainers, etc.;
- Ensuring daily liaison between ANIMED’s different units (technical, communication, administrative, and financial);
- Contributing to the collection, verification, and consolidation of monitoring data (technical, financial, and communication) for periodic reports to the Lead Partner and the Programme;
- Supporting overall project communication, including content drafting, coordination with graphic service providers, and updating communication tools (website, social media, newsletters, press releases, etc.);
- Assisting in the logistics of missions and events, including administrative and protocol-related aspects;
- Contributing to the qualitative monitoring of activities and the capitalization of project results;
- Preparing narrative project reports in support of the Project Coordinator and the Technical Manager.
3. Profile Sought
Required Qualifications
- University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in heritage studies, history, sustainable tourism, project management, or another relevant field;
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the implementation or coordination of sustainable development, international cooperation, or local development projects;
- Good knowledge of cultural heritage and the institutional ecosystem;
- Strong command of project management tools (monitoring tables, planning tools, reporting, indicators, etc.) and willingness to use the platform provided by the Lead Partner;
- Knowledge of European funding programmes (ENI CBC, Interreg, Erasmus+, etc.) is an asset;
- Proficiency in digital and office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Trello, or equivalent);
- Excellent command of French (written and spoken) and good knowledge of English or Italian.

4. Eligibility Conditions
The selection is open to candidates who:
Are of Tunisian nationality or legal residence;
Enjoy full civil and political rights;
Have not been subject to any criminal conviction or exclusion from public office.
5. Type and Duration of Contract
Type of contract: Open-ended contract (CDI) with a probation period in accordance with applicable Tunisian legislation. It is noted that 30 months are currently foreseen under the HERITAS project.
Remuneration: 2,000 TND gross per month, part-time, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time based on additional projects managed by ANIMED.
Duty station: Tunis (ANIMED headquarters), with occasional travel to Nabeul or Sicily depending on project needs.
6. Selection Procedures and Criteria
The selection process will be conducted in two stages:
1. Evaluation of the Application File (CV and cover letter), based on the following criteria:
Relevance of academic background (20%)
Experience in management and communication (30%)
Proficiency in communication and management tools (20%)
Language and interpersonal skills (10%)
2. Individual Interview (20%)
The interview will assess the candidate’s motivation, understanding of the role, and interpersonal abilities.
